Today’s kitchen is more than a place to prepare meals. It has become the heart of the home—a space for entertaining, gathering, relaxing, and enjoying everyday moments. One feature that can make your kitchen even more functional and inviting is a custom bar section. At Delorie Countertops & Doors, we can help homeowners create a bar area that feels like a natural extension of their kitchen, combining custom cabinetry, countertops, storage, and thoughtful design details.

A home bar has become much more than a place to store bottles and glassware. When thoughtfully designed, it can become a sophisticated entertaining destination, a natural gathering place, and one of the most memorable features in the home. Whether incorporated into a kitchen, living area, entertainment room, or its own dedicated space, a luxury home bar is all about combining beautiful materials with smart functionality.

Today’s homes are designed for more than just everyday living—they’re places to gather, entertain, celebrate, and spend time together. When the kitchen, dining room, and bar are located within the same open-concept space, creating a consistent design between all three areas can completely transform the home. At Delorie Countertops & Doors, we love designing spaces that feel connected while still giving each area its own personality and purpose.

The kitchen has always been one of the most social spaces in the home. But when entertaining is an important part of your lifestyle, adding a dedicated bar area alongside the kitchen can take both functionality and design to another level. Instead of asking one space to do everything, a kitchen and bar combination creates two distinct areas that work beautifully together—giving guests more room to gather while keeping cooking, serving, and entertaining organized.

When designing a custom bar or entertainment area, cabinetry and countertops often take center stage. However, one design element can completely transform the look and feel of the space: integrated LED lighting. Whether installed beneath countertops, floating shelves, or upper cabinetry, LED lighting adds warmth, highlights premium materials, and creates an inviting atmosphere that elevates the entire room.
